Scarlet Beauty originates from the Parigo range of varieties that were bred for cut-flower production, many years ago. We currently offer two varieties from their range Pandora and this one, both of which tend to produce flowers in flushes, one in early summer and another in late autumn, if you live in a cold part of the country you may get some flowers in the summer, but in southern counties the plants can go dormant. Scarlet Beauty is a very tall grower which can get over 1.5m tall and with us at least is not as hardy when compared to more modern hybrids such as those from the 'Summer' series.
