Pheasant Eye
Pheasant Eye is the most common name for Narcissus poeticus but it has others, such as: 'Poet's Narcissus', 'Findern Flower' and 'Pinkster Lily'. It was one of the first Narcissus to be brought into cultivation. Many gardeners will know it well, not only for the elegant flowers but also for their perfume. Easy to grow and later flowering than most other Narcissus, often not starting until well into April. Very good for naturalizing, average height 40 cm.
They like a nice sunny site in free-draining soil or compost, if the bulbs are waterlogged for too long they can rot
Like all narcissus/daffodils, you must let them die back naturally before you cut them down
We are planning to start shipping bulbs in late September -early October.
