Fritillaria Meleagris alba is often called 'The snake's head' Fritillaria. Unlike its bigger cousins 'The crown imperials', it likes quite moist soil, it even grows on the edge of streams in part shade. the flowers are pure white, they're from seed so you can get 1 in 50 can be purple. the flowers are held down, looking a bit like an old-fashioned lantern.
