Camassia leichtlinii 'Maybelle' is slightly shorter and later flowering than Cearulea. it often flowers at the same time as the white camassias, which is two weeks or so after Blue Heaven. Its blooms are an intense purple-blue, often not starting until early June. Camassia's have gained in popularity in recent years, they are easy to grow and are tolerant of even heavy soils.
