Bred by Eugene Fox in Canada, with deep pink buds and flowers, they are well marked with various other colours, and about 6 Cm's in diameter, as with all martagons the bulbs can take a year or so to get established, but when they have martagons tend too be very long-lived and increase well, needs a good humus-rich alkaline soil, to do well, grows to about 1.5 meters when established and can have 30 or more flowers on a stem, which are produced in June.
