Currently, there is a considerable amount of hybrid Lilies being created by crossing Longiflorums with Orientals. The resulting hybrids are easy to grow, long-lived, and not fussy about soil type. They have a sweet perfume not unlike a longiflorum and big flowers. Very vigorous 2m plus when established never need staking, start to flower in mid-July.
