Erythronum den-canis Purple King, common name is the dog-tooth violet. Wonderful cyclamen-purple petals with white and a bit of red at the heart of the flowers, held up on deep purple-green stems, lovely marbled leaves. They need moist soil that doesn't get water logged in the winter, in full to part shade
