Discovery is the standard blue iris, that you can often find in florist shops. It will grow in any well-drained soil but not clay, here at the nursery we grow them in raised beds, as we are on clay and so far they have come back every year, but they do need watering if it is a very dry spring or they will lose their buds, they add a lovely splash of colour to the garden when not much else if flowering, perfect for a cutting bed
