Zantedeschia Calla Lilies
Zantedeschia corms (Cala Lilies) are available from late March, initially they need growing inside, but as soon as the threat of frost has passed they are best outside. Zantedeschia's are commonly called 'Calla Lily's'. Here at H.W.Hyde and son we specialise in tall growing varieties, 'Blackberry' is one of the tallest, often around 1m, while such as 'Captain Romance' is shorter at about 70 cm tall, many have interesting white spotted leaves. Zantedeschia's have become very popular, in recent years, both as Garden plant and cut flowers. The first flowers start appearing in mid June, often they will continue to produce flowers all summer. Zantedeschia corms are not hardy and hate being waterlogged, they need growing in free draining soil/compost and the corms must be kept dry in Winter away from frosts. Full growing instructions are sent with every order.
