Narcissus W P Milner

  • Narcissus W P Milner

W P Milner is said to be a spot of Narcissus Lobularis that was found H Backhoues in 1869 and named after his brother in law. Just of white petals with a creamy yellow trumpet, a small gracefully daffodil not stiff and starchy like some of the newer varieties. They are fantastic at coming back every year, we have them planted at the edge of our woodland, what a show they have put on for us, long-lasting flowers held on short stems, never blowing over. Superb for creating a naturalistic effect, in either open woodland or wild grassy meadows. if you ever watch gardening programmes with Carol Klein you can see it in her woodland garden, it can be slightly more erratic in flowering when compared to modern hybrids. 30cm
