rare Heritage variety bred from L.martagon var dalmaticum x L.hansonii in the late 1800's. chestnut brown with a gold spots, they are about 5 Cm's in diameter, as with all martagons the bulbs can take a year or so to get established, but when they have martagons tend too be very long lived and increase well, needs a good humus rich alkaline soil, to do well, grows to about 1.2 metres when established and can have 15 or more flowers on a stem, which are produced from about mid June onwards.
