Unlike most lilies martagons are almost exclusively bred by amateur breeders. Dr Ieuan Evans, is one of the top breeders, originally from Wales, he now lives in Canada. Martagons grow well in a wide range of soils from slightly acidic to alkaline, providing it is of good quality and well-drained, like all Lilies they hate being waterlogged. A lot of customers grow them in light woodland, but they can also be grown in full Sun. All are very hardy, down to minus 30 c. Further details can be found by selecting a variety.  Detailed cultural advice can be found on our Growing Tips. page.

More details and shipping rates can be found on our Ordering. page.

Most of our stocks of Martagons are now potted up ready for selling next year.
