Lovely pale pink flowers with a white heart, one of the most popular orientals for cutting. The flowers are not as huge as the newest varieties but what they lack in size they more than make up in numbers. Newly planted bulbs tend to grow about 90 Cm's tall, when established they can get up to 1.3 metres. Flowers mid July onwards. Bulb size 20 cm +.

The so called 'Marbled Martagon' that originates from the meadows of China. It's Small 5 cm flowers are lightly scented and vary from being heavily spotted with purple, to almost pure white. Unlike most Lilies this stunning species is 'stoloniferous', this means that the new shoots wander along in the soil before emerging, great care must be taken not to damage the young shoots when they appear in unexpected areas. Newly planted bulbs tend to grow about 50 Cm's tall, when established they can get to about 1 metre. Likes a well drained humus rich soil with plenty of leaf mould, in which it's stems can wander freely. Naturally grows from small pure white bulbs that are only between 2 to 4 Cm's in diameter.

Very special variety originally from the breeding programme of Marklily. Produces large pure pink, scented flowers, each of which are about 18 cms in diameter. Short stocky stems that tend to grow to about 80 cms tall from newly planted bulbs and up to 1.2 metres when established, flowers mid July onwards.

An interesting bi-coloured variety with unusual cream hearted, strawberry pink, unscented flowers, each of which are about 16 Cm's in diameter. Always in demand not only because of the unique colour but also for the name. We often sell bulbs of it to Football fans, either because they support  'Arsenal' or as a gift to someone who doesn't ! Grows about 75 Cm's tall in the first season and 1.2 metres when established, flowers mid June onwards. Only available as size 12 cm + bulbs.

Huge, lightly scented, golden yellow flowers about 24 Cm's in diameter, newly planted bulbs produce very strong stems, that get to about 1 metre tall, in the first season, when the bulbs are established they grow much taller 1.5 metres, will need support in windy situations, flowers from mid June to July. Bulb size 14 cm +.

Very rare species Lilium for China. The flowers and scent resemble that of other speciosum's but the bulbs are very different, this species grows from a small, quite flat, white bulb and unlike other speciosum's, which tend to be easy to grow, gloriosoides is very difficult to grow. Needs planting in a well drained humus rich soi,l which must never be allowed to either dry out, or get waterlogged. One of the last Lilies to flower often not starting until September. Due to the difficulty in growing this species we would recommend it to only the most experienced Lily enthusiasts.

The 'Lemon Liy' from California, one of the most lovely of all species Lilies, from the U.S.A. Produces beautiful deep yellow flowers from about early July onwards, each of which have a lovely allmost honey like perfume. Not easy to grow, likes a well drained moist acidic soil, hates getting dry as much as it hates getting waterlogged, a real challenge, but worth if only for the perfume. In it's natural habitat it can often be seen growing on the side of streams, where it's long roots reach right down into the moist soil and the bulbs grow in the dryer soil above.

Selected from a range of trial varieties that G.A.Verdegaal sent us in 2011, when this one flowered we thought it was so unique that we  including in our display at 'The Hampton Court Flower Show', where it was much admired by visitors. It's pollen free flowers (which are a real mixture of crushed 'Strawberries and Custard') are produced on very strong stems that only grow about 35 Cm's tall, will make a super plant for patio pots and window boxes, or of course in the front of a border, flowers early June onwards. A so called LLO hybrid, Longiflorum x (Longiflorum x Oriental), from Marklily in Holland. Truly massive, sweetly scented pale pink flowers, each of which can measure 30 Cm's in diameter. Huge, super strong stems that grow to about 1.2 metre's in the first season, when the bulbs are established they can grow to over 2 metres tall with 10 flowers, seldom if ever needs any support, would look great planted with 'Gizmo'. Flowers from about the middle of July until August. bulb size 16 cm +.

One of the original, so called 'OT' hybrids that is now often sold as a 'Tree Lily'.  When compared to more modern hybrids the flowers are smaller, about 15 Cm's in diameter, they are quite strongly scented. Newly planted bulbs tend to grow about 1.2 metres tall, but when established they can often grow to over 2 metres, strong thin stems that sometimes need supporting, especially in the first season.
