The most admired Lily at the Tatton Park Flower Show 2012. During this year we have run trials with two 'Roselily' varieties 'Belonica' is one and 'Fabiola' was the second, so far the results have been promising. Compared to standard double flowered orientals they seem easier to grow, with larger flowers (up to 20 Cm's across), these are long lasting and very sweetly perfumed. Habit wise Belonica produces short stocky stems up to 70 Cm's tall in the first season, how tall they will get when established we have yet to find out. During 2013 we expect to introduce more varieties from this group.

A new as yet unnamed Triumph hybrid with very pretty pink and white flowers, strong grower, sure to make a great garden plant. In our trials this variety started flowering in the first week of April and was about 40Cm's tall. Well worth trying. Prices per bulb, size 12 cm +.

It's not often you find a Dwarf double variety but here is one, small perfectly formed flowers about 12 Cm's in diameter, often called 'pollen free', but with us at least the flowers sometimes produce pollen, only grows about 35 Cm's tall, superb for pots and window boxes, flowers early June onwards. Bulb size 14 cm + .

One of the few Darwin hybrids we offer, Ad Rem makes a superb garden plant and a very good cut flower, average height about 40Cm's. Normally starts flowering from about the end of March onwards.  As with most Darwin hybrids Ad Rem produces huge leaves and large flowers, needs to be given some room in the garden. Price's per bulb, size 12 cm +.

Huge bright orange well perfumed flowers, about 19 Cm's in diameter, extremely strong stems that get about 75 Cm's tall in the first season and over 1 metre when established, flowers late June to early July. Bulb size 16 cm +.

An interesting second generation Oriental x nepalense hybrid. We first saw this variety in a batch of unnamed seedling's that originated from the discontinued breeding programme of 'Sande'. At the time we asked about buying it, but when nothing come of this, we thought it had been lost forever. Then in the Spring of 2012 we were offered bulbs of a new variety called 'African Lady'. We looked at the picture, that our supplier sent us and thought this looks familiar, then when we were told that it originated from 'Sande' things began to click into place, it is the hybrid we admired a few years ago. During the Chelsea show of 2012 we included 3 plants in our exhibit, they were much admired by visitors. So far we have found it very easy to grow, very strong stems and not too tall, only 80 Cm's in the first season, how tall established bulbs will grow, we don't know yet.

New introduction for 2013.

New variety from 'Vletter Den Haan'. The nicest pale pink L.A hybrid, stunning sugar pink flowers with a clear white heart. Same vigorous habit as 'Fairbanks'. Newly planted bulbs tend grow about 1 metre in the first season, when established we expect them to be  taller, maybe over 1.3 metres. Flowers from mid June to July. Easy to grow and the bulbs tend to form large clumps in only a few seasons. Bulb size 16 cm +.

Very reliable variety that belongs to the 'Double late' group, semi to fully double flowers, often multi-headed, height 40 Cm's, flowers from mid April onwards. Price per bulb, size 12 cm plus.

A so called 'Orienpet' originally from the USA, medium sized, downwards facing, pale pink flowers, about 18 Cm's in diameter, unlike standard O.T. hybrids 'Orienpets' tend to take a year or so to really get going, it is quite normal for them to produce quite weak stems in the first season, with only a few flowers, but when they get established they get much better, often reaching heights over 1.5 metres and they can have 20 or more flowers on a stem, flowers from early August onwards. Bulb size 20 cm +.
