Common name 'Japanese Golden Ray Lily', parent to many of the modern day 'Orientals', huge flowers up to 25 Cm's in diameter, another Lily that tends to take a year or two before it really gets going, newly planted bulbs tend to produce short stems under 1 metre tall with only a few flowers, but when the bulbs are established they get huge, 2 metres is not unusual with 10 plus flowers, needs an acidic soil, flowers mid July onward's.
